G M Singh said ,Nissan will start on its sports car Z370 in the Indian market and is probable to be roll out in January 2010.

The new variation from Nissan comes as a part of its brand name expansion plans in India. It is also expectant that the market will finally increase for such cars.

He also confirmed that Nissan will commence its small hatchback model Micra in 2010 built on a new-fangled platform. It will be existing in petrol as well as diesel variants in India and will be priced at Rs. 5 lakh and above.

It has plans to introduce total nine models in India by the year 2012 out of which five will be contrived at its Chennai talent and four will be import as finally built units.

Nissan now has only two models X-Trail and Taena in India. The Company has its new manufacturing unit coming up at Chennai after which it intends to increase its marketplace share by selling at least 15-20,000 units annually.
