No ticket for sale for Kolkata ODI

No ticket for sale in Kolkata, the Cricket Association of Bengal gain a loss of Rs. 2.5 crore from the gate sale as there will not be a single priced ticket. On Dec 24 during fourth India – Sri Lanka one day match at Eden garden.

CAB Source said, “Our collection from the gate sales could have gone up to Rs.2.5 crore had there been a full house. And normally, we get full house in ODIs at the Eden. Moreover, with Eden getting an ODI after more than 34 months, the spectator interest would have been at its peak.”

Eden had hosted its earlier ODI Feb 8, 2007, when India took on Sri Lanka, but the match was washed out. Then, November-December 2007 India and Pakistan played a Test on the ground.

FIFA apologises to Ireland:

FIFA President Sepp Blatter apologized to Ireland on Wednesday for informative that the country's football organization had asked for a 33rd place at next year's World Cup in South Africa.
